You are cordially invited to submit a proposal as a General Contractor for work specified
for this project. All Contractors shall RSVP with a list of Subcontractors by Monday November 12, 2018 for attendance to a pre-bid conference and site visit scheduled for Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 11:00. This is an operating medical facility serving children who are medically fragile.

Almost Home Kids will receive sealed proposals for Drypipe System Replacement to be let as a single contract. Proposals will be received at the office of Almost Home Kids, 7 S 721 Route 53, Naperville, Illinois, 60540 on or before 12:00, Friday November 16, 2018. All bids received by that time will be considered and will be publicly open and read at that time. RFI’s must be submitted in writing or email to dcotton@wowway.com no later than Thursday November 15, 12:00 noon.

WOMEN AND MINORITY OWNED BUSINESSES ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT BIDS ON THIS PROJECT.

FEDERAL LABOR STANDARDS AND PREVAILING WAGE RATES WILL APPLY TO THIS PROJECT.

Almost Home Kids reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any proposals which, in its judgment, will be to the best interest of the public. Only bids in compliance with the bidding documents will be considered.

Note that all bidding Contractors will be required to provide all required CDC/HUD FED funding requirements and all request forms and sworn statements along with certified
Payroll and any other items included in the specifications.
All proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Sum (base bid) as a security for the Faithful performance of this contract AND a Labor and Mechanical payment Bond in an amount of not less than One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract sum as a security for the payment of all persons performing labor on the Project under this Contract and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract. It is understood by the bidding contractor that this work will be phased as indicated in these document (under Phasing) and will provide in their bid a Phasing Plan and an Infection and Dust Management Control Plan for owners review. The undersigned is aware that the Federal Labor Standards and Prevailing Wage Rates apply to all work performed under this Contract. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to comply with these requirements and to assure compliance by his/her Subcontractors and/or any lower tier Subcontractors required by this Contract. It is a requirement that this contractor attend a Pre-Conference Bid meeting with DuPage County prior to commencement of the work. Submission of a certificate of insurance evidencing a rating of not less than 7 shall be submitted with the proposal
