Wind Energy Park: 850 Wind Energy Pass, Batavia, IL 60510

The project includes, but is not limited to, the following:
A. Removal of concrete paving, concrete footings, and wood fiber surfacing.
B. Installation of asphalt paving and concrete paving.
C. Installation of playground equipment and site furniture.
D. Installation of engineered wood fiber safety surfacing and playground underdrainage.

Bidding Documents may be examined between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. at the Batavia
Park District Administrative Offices, 327 W. Wilson, Batavia, IL 60510 (630) 879-5235.

Bid proposals shall be plainly marked, “Levi Newton and Wind Energy Park Playground Renovations” and marked “DO NOT OPEN” and be addressed to Mr. Jim Eby at the Batavia Park District.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a Bid Bond (AIA Document A310) or
certified check made payable to the Batavia Park District (Owner) in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal, as guarantee that if the bidder’s base proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into.

This is a public works project, which requires payment of prevailing rates of wages for Kane
County in accordance with Illinois law.

The Owner encourages minority business firms to submit bids for the performance of the Work and the successful bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors and suppliers for labor, Equipment, and services.

The Batavia Park District reserves the right to reject any and/or all bid proposals or to accept any bid proposal, which in its judgement, will be to the best interest of the public, or to waive any informalities in bidding. Only bid proposals in compliance with the provisions of the Contract Documents will be considered. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date of opening.
