Inverness Park District (the “District”) is accepting sealed bids for the Improvements at North Park located at 300 Highland Road Inverness, Illinois 60067. Sealed bids must be submitted on or before 2:00 PM Thursday, March 24 to the Inverness Park District Office at 300 Highland Road Inverness, Illinois 60067. Immediately thereafter, bids will be opened and read aloud. Consideration of Award scheduled for March 28th at a meeting of the Inverness Park District Board of Commissioners. Inverness Park District is under no obligation to accept any bid, including the lowest bid.
Questions will be answered in the form of written addenda and provided to all Bidders, as per State of Illinois statutes. Submit questions regarding the bid in writing to Planning Resources, shalberg@planres.com no later than 2:00 PM on March 18th , 2022 An optional pre-bid meeting will occur at the site on Monday, March 21std at 2:00 PM. If you plan on participating in the pre-bid meeting please contact the Inverness Park District for instructions.

The bid packet, specifications and plans are available electronically. Interested contractors may obtain detailed proposal specifications and plans via electronic download through the Accurate Repro, Inc. Online Plan room at http://www.accurateplanroom.com/ . A Plan Fee is required for each electronic download as required by Accurate Repro per set. Plans will be available starting March 10th, 2022.
The District encourages the participation of businesses owned by Minorities, Females and Persons with Disabilities in the implementation and execution of the Project, either on a direct basis or through subcontracting efforts. DBE requirements for the Project are consistent with State of Illinois DBE requirements.
The contractor awarded the contract will be required to post a performance bond, labor and material payment bond in a penal amount equal to the contract price, plus insurance meeting Inverness Park District’s requirements.
This contract calls for the construction of a “public work”, within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01, et seq. (the “Act”) The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers and workers performing services on public works projects no less than the “prevailing rate of wages” (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor’s website at: https://www2.illinois.gov/idol/Laws-Rules/CONMED/Pages/prevailing-wage-rates.aspx. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. For the entire duration of this work under the Contract, the Contractor shall conform to the federal and state statutes on equal opportunity and fair employment. Submission of required certified payroll records will be required prior to payment by Owner to the installation contractor. This notice shall not create any legal obligation on behalf of the District to evaluate any bid that is submitted by a contractor, or to enter into any contract with a contractor submitting a bid. The District reserves the right to (1) cancel or modify this notice or the contract documents in whole or in part; (2) reject any or all bids submitted; (3) waive non-material formalities and technicalities deemed appropriate; (4) postpone bid opening; (5) issue a call for new bids; and/or (6) award the contract for the project in whole or in part, or to one or more contractors.
