Batavia Park District will receive sealed bids from qualified contractors for trail improvements at
Jones Meadow Park located north of West Mooseheart Road in North Aurora, 60542, County of
Kane, State of Illinois.
The project includes, but is not limited to, the following:
A. Earth excavation and pavement removal
B. Installation of trail with stone base and asphalt surface
C. Storm sewer installation;
F. Native planting
G. All other collateral work such as restoration.
Bidding Documents will be available beginning April 25th, 2022 from Accurate Repro, Inc.’s

Bidding Documents may be examined between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. at the
Batavia Park District Administrative Offices, 327 W. Wilson, Batavia, IL 60510 (630) 879-5235.
Any bidding questions will be received until Friday, May 6 at 12:00 PM. Questions shall be sent
to Kim Hansen, kimh@bataviaparks.org.
Said bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM, local time on May 12, 2022, at the Batavia
Park District Administrative Offices, located at 327 W. Wilson St, Batavia, IL, at which time and
place said bids will be publicly opened and read. A contract is expected to be awarded at the
May 17, 2022, Park Board meeting.
Bid proposals shall be plainly marked, “Jones Meadow Park Trail” and marked “DO NOT
OPEN” and be addressed to Ms. Kim Hansen at the Batavia Park District.
This is a public works project, which requires payment of prevailing rates of wages for
Kane County in accordance with Illinois law.
The Owner encourages minority business firms to submit bids for the performance of the Work
and the successful bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors and suppliers for
labor, equipment, and services.
The Batavia Park District reserves the right to reject any and/or all bid proposals or to accept
any bid proposal, which in its judgement, will be to the best interest of the public, or to waive any
informalities in bidding. Only bid proposals in compliance with the provisions of the Contract
Documents will be considered. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period
of forty-five (45) days after the date of opening.
