Sealed proposals for Hanover Park Park District – Community Park Renovation in
Hanover Park, IL, shall be received at the Hanover offices: 1919 Walnut Ave, Hanover
Park, IL 60133 until 2:00 p.m. local time, March 31, 2023, at which time all bids will be
publicly opened and read aloud.
Project Work generally includes removals, grading, site work, installation of an underdrain
system, concrete paving, asphalt paving, playground equipment installation, structure
installation, safety surfacing, site furniture, landscaping, lawn seeding, installation of a rain
garden and ancillary work.
Bid documents will be available from Accurate Repro, Inc.’s Planroom beginning March 6,

Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. In addition, the
successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor
and Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance following the award of a
contract.
Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids. Successful contract bidders are
also encouraged to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment,
services, and construction. This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the
Illinois Department of Natural Resources, “Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development”
(OSLAD) grant program. The failure to comply with the State of Illinois Business
Enterprise Program – Minorities, Females, Persons with Disability Participation and
Utilization Plan adopted by the Hanover Park Park District for the Project shall be grounds
to disqualify a bidder.
All contracts for work herein are subject to all Hanover Park Park District rules and
regulations, and providing for the payment of Cook County’s prevailing wage rate to all
workers involved in the Project. All bids will remain firm for 60 days after the bid opening.
The Hanover Park Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive
informalities on a bid, and to accept the lowest responsible bid that serves the best
interests of the Hanover Park Park District.
