The St. Charles Park District will receive separate sealed bids until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July
25, 2023 at the Pottawatomie Community Center, 8 North Avenue, St. Charles, Illinois, for the
Hickory Knolls Renovation Project.
This project generally consists of but not limited to: All materials and labor necessary to install
interior and exterior renovations as noted in the provided Project Manual and Drawings at
Hickory Knolls Discovery Center facility located at 3795 Campton Hills Drive, St. Charles, IL
60175 owned and operated by the St. Charles Park District.
Bid documents will be available from Accurate Repro, Inc.’s Planroom beginning Monday, July 3
24, 2023 at 9:00am. Plans are available for printing (at bidder’s expense) or download (no
charge to bidder). Phone: (630) 428-4433 www.accurateplanroom.com.
The above bids will be opened and read publicly at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at
the Pottawatomie Community Center.
Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. In addition, the
successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and
Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance following the award of a contract.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk-through for General Contractors will be held at
1:30 p.m., Central Standard Time (CST), on Thursday July 13, 2023, at the Hickory Knolls
Discovery Center located at 13795 Campton Hills Drive, St. Charles, IL.
A second informal walk-through of the site will occur at 11:00 a.m., Central Standard Time
(CST), on Monday, July 17th, 2023, for General Contractors and their Subcontractors.
The St. Charles Park District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any
proposals which, in its judgment, will be to the best interest of the Park District. Only bids in
compliance with the provisions of the specifications will be considered.
All bidders must comply with the applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of Kane County
prevailing wages by all contractors working on public projects, and bidders must comply with the
Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor and bidding, including Equal Opportunity Laws.
